Topic: GOD WANTS TO KEEP YOU FROM EVIL (Part 5)

Bible Text: “Lord, even when I have trouble all around me, you will keep me alive. When my enemies are angry, you will reach down and save me by your power.” – Psalms 138:7, ICB.

Knowing God as your keeper is one of the essential knowledge to have. As you grow in knowing God every day, the effects will be visible in your life. It is not possible to know God and not trust him. Knowing God and being afraid of what the enemy can do is impossible.

I want us to consider another vital lesson that positions us for non-stop preservation from evil and the enemy’s desires. BEFORE MAKING DECISIONS OR MAKING COMMITMENTS, LISTEN FOR GOD’S VOICE OR CONFIRMATION.

We are often so desperate to have our way that we don’t wait for God’s direction or confirmation; this is how we walk into trouble and defeat. Instead, we must discipline ourselves to listen for God’s guidance and confirmation. This is one way to avoid walking into a waiting trap. He always speaks, and he always wants to instruct and guide us. So many things go wrong when people are careless or desperate to get things done.

Even when God speaks many times, we cannot hear because we have already decided what to do. To enjoy God’s preservation, we must permit God to hold us back and trust him with everything. He is aware of what lies ahead. We must express our trust in God and allow him to alter our plans. Permit God to take control over everything in your life. No one who puts their trust in the Lord will see shame.

WISDOM PUSH:

1. Pray about everything; let God do the worrying.
2. There is no disappointment in trusting God.
