GOODBYE TO YESTERDAY (Part 4)

Bible Text: “The Lord says, forget what happened before. Do not think about the past.” – Isaiah 43:18, ICB.

Learning from mistakes is one sure way to avoid repeating them. It is natural to make mistakes as we go through life. Mistakes can occur due to oversight, failure to act appropriately, failure to read and understand all signs, trusting the wrong people, or other factors. Our refusal to learn from our mistakes is what keeps us behind. You are likely to repeat a mistake you did not learn from. Many of us would have been better and higher than we are now if only we had learnt from the mistakes and errors made in the past. A great man once said, “whenever you fall, makes sure you pick up something.” Friends, if you look on the bright side and learn from your mistakes, you will find that most of them were blessings in disguise. Every setback and error you learnt something from was a blessing in disguise.

1. Recognise that our worst experiences often teach us the most important lessons.
2. The only true mistake is one from which you learned nothing.
