GOODBYE TO YESTERDAY (Part 5)

Bible text: “I say this because I know what I have planned for you, says the Lord. I have good plans for you. I don’t plan to hurt you. I plan to give you hope and a good future.” – Jeremiah 29:11, ICB.

An essential wisdom that should guide your life is knowing that you made a mistake doesn’t mean you are a mistake. Your mistakes or negative past must not diminish the value you place on yourself. Every great and exceptional person today is someone who rose above their mistakes, overcame adversity, and achieved greatness. The devil’s goal is to take over our minds so that we can’t tell the difference between an experience and our identity. You are not a failure because you failed at something. You are not a mistake; you are not a failure; you are not the negative name anyone called you, and your errors don’t define you. Here’s a fact: as you continue to grow in knowledge and the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, you will do better than you did yesterday. Choose to learn from your mistakes and past experiences, but do not allow them or anyone else to keep you stuck in the past.

1. Never let the mistakes and struggles of yesterday define or limit your today.
2. Consciously renew and empower your mind with God’s word, so your perception of yourself improves daily.
