Today’s Word: Gratitude (Part 11)
Today’s Bible Reference: Psalms 103:2 (NLT) – “Let all that I am praise the Lord; may I never forget the good things he does for me.”
In John 6, we learn that there was a significant need in the ministry of Jesus. The disciples of Jesus were confused and didn’t know what to do.
Jesus wanted them to feed thousands of people who came to his ministry, but there was no food. They were in the desert even if they had money to buy that much food. But we learn a powerful principle from Jesus.
When they got five loaves and two fish, Jesus lifted it to the Father in prayer and gave thanks. He thanked God for what he had made available in the present. Because of this attitude, he displayed a grace for multiplication rested on the little he had, and it fed the thousands of people who needed food.
Dear friend, thank God for what is available now. Thank him for what is working in your life. Find something to thank God for every day.
Today’s Prophetic Declaration
Father, I thank you for my life and the diverse manifestations of your grace I enjoy daily. Thank you, Lord Jesus.
