Today’s Word: Gratitude (Part 5)
Today’s Bible Reference: Psalms 100:4 (KJV) – “Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him and bless his name.”
Gratitude is not a once-off or one-time event at the end of the year. It should be a lifestyle. Sadly, some believers skip church services when there is a Thanksgiving event.
Thanksgiving should be taken seriously and done intentionally. We should prepare our thanksgiving song, dance and testimony to honour God before his people.
Some people give thanks because they feel forced or out of duty. Thanksgiving is to be done willingly and with joy.
It is unacceptable to only thank God as a prelude to prayer requests or round off a prayer meeting. Thanksgiving must be intentional and come from a grateful heart, not as an introduction to spiritual activity or in a thoughtless manner.
From a joyful and grateful heart, thank God all day and every day.
Today’s Prophetic Declaration:
Lord Jesus, I thank you for everything. I declare that with the help of the Holy Spirit, my heart is opened to gratitude.
