Today’s Word: Gratitude (Part 7)

Today’s Bible Reference: Psalms 103: 2 (Easy Version) – “I say to myself, Praise the Lord! Never forget all the good things that he has done for you!”

God brought Israel out of Egypt, sent plagues on Egyptians and parted the Red Sea. To thank God, they sang songs, danced and praised God. 

But, after those miracles, they complained bitterly when faced with challenges, as though they had never seen God move before. This attitude prevented a whole generation from entering the promised land, except for Joshua and Caleb.

Some people only thank God at the moment when their desired testimony happens, and continue their lives and forget about it when they face the next difficulty. 

Gratitude should be more than a feeling or euphoria that wears off; we must remember and recall God’s miracles in our lives and bless him long after the testimony has happened.   

Today’s Bible text says, ‘Forget not his benefits’. We must never forget the testimonies of the past or the blessings of today. Recall a major testimony that God has done in the past; give God praise and thank him today.

Today’s Prophetic Declaration:

In the name of Jesus, I reject a life of ingratitude, and I focus only on what God is doing in my life. Thank you, Lord Jesus.
