Today’s Word: Gratitude (Part 9)

Today’s Bible Reference: Psalms 103:2 (NLT) – “Let all that I am praise the Lord; may I never forget the good things he does for me.”

 

One of the fundamental principles that must govern our lives is the attitude of giving thanks to God for what he did in the past. No matter what you think you don’t yet have, you have testimonies of what God has done. Your life, health, family and everything about you is testimony of God’s goodness and mercy. Make it a habit to express gratitude to God for what he’s done in the past.

In 2 Samuel 17, when David stood before King Saul while everyone was under pressure because of the threat of Goliath, David testified glowingly of what God did in the past. His confidence in the present was because of what God had done in the past.

When faced with certain pressures and demands, we often forget what God did in the past. This is not the pathway to victory. Make gratitude a culture that flows out of you, regardless of circumstance, location or challenge.

Today’s Prophetic Declaration:

Lord Jesus, thank you for how you keep showing up for me and positioning me for victory. Thank you, Lord Jesus.
