Topic: HEARING THE VOICE OF GOD (Part 1)

Bible Text: “The Lord says, “I will guide you along the best pathway for your life. I will advise you and watch over you.” – Psalms 32:8 NLT

 

One of life’s most important discoveries is knowing that you can hear God’s voice and counsel on all things. The Lord does not want us to rely solely on our emotions or what others say. He wants to guide us by his word and by his spirit. He wants to speak with us and direct us in all things. He desires that we receive from him for the rest of our lives.

As a child of God, you should expect God to speak to you because He is your father. One of the lies of the enemy is to make us feel we are not qualified to hear the voice of God. He tries to make it appear as if God’s direction is only for a select few. I want you to know today that if you have accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour, you have God’s spirit and are therefore qualified to hear from God.

1. God speaks to us and gives us help through his word.
2. Because of Jesus Christ, you have the ability to hear God’s voice.
3. God does not want us to rely solely on how we feel, what we see, and what others say; he wants us to be guided by his word and his spirit.
