TOPIC: HIGH IMPACT BY WISDOM (Part 4)

Text: “When you act with presumption convinced that you are right, don’t be surprised if you fall flat on your face. But humility leads to wisdom.” – Proverbs 11:2, TPT.

According to God’s word in 1 Kings 3, we are told that Solomon had an encounter with the Lord, an encounter that could change the life of any person; it was an encounter that could make a random person become the most sought-after. But Solomon was not your regular guy. Of all the things this guy could ask for, he chose to ask for wisdom.

Just imagine for a moment that Solomon was your brother, and with all the challenges your family has been going through, Solomon returns home one day smiling. He tells you he met a great and famous personality who could change the family condition, and the person asked him to request just about anything, and you were eager to hear what Solomon’s request was, and the next thing he told you was that he only asked for wisdom. I can imagine how angry you would be.

But Solomon made the most intelligent and most profitable request. Solomon didn’t ask for things everyone could see. Instead, he asked for what would produce what everyone would see.

It was good Solomon did not ask for a long life because a person can have a long life, but if he lacks wisdom, he will live like a burden to his generation; he will live a life of zero impact!

It was good Solomon did not ask for riches because a person can be rich, but if he lacks wisdom, his riches can lead to his downfall, shame, and misery.

It was also good Solomon did not ask for the death of all his enemies and adversaries because while some persons may feel their ‘enemies’ are the reason for their misfortunes and lack of progress, their lack of wisdom could be the only thing fighting them, resisting their progress, and keeping them small.

Solomon asked the Lord for wisdom, which completely transformed his life and made him one of the most extraordinary men ever.

Dear friend, today is another good day to ask the Lord for his wisdom. As you come under the influence of God’s wisdom, it will change everything about your life.

True wisdom cannot exist without God. If it is divine wisdom, it must seek to honour God.
