TOPIC: HIGH IMPACT BY WISDOM (Part 7)

Text: “Wisdom opens your heart to receive counsel, but pride closes your ears to advice and gives birth to quarrels and strife.” – Proverbs 13:10, TPT.

 

As we understudy the life of Solomon, we will observe that Solomon lacked the experience to govern a very complex nation like Israel. Even though David had appointed him co-regent when he realised that his older son, Adonijah, intended to take the throne, we never heard Solomon do anything exceptional before he became king of Israel.

So, Solomon understood his situation and limitation. He understood he needed God’s wisdom to win with his responsibilities. I believe he must have reasoned and said to himself, “I don’t have what people believe can make a man successful and exceptional; this is why I need God’s wisdom.” His story shows how God’s wisdom announced and gave him matchless relevance. 

Maybe this looks like your story, where you face demands, responsibilities, and challenges you lack the experience to handle; you need God’s wisdom. Possibly, others boast about their strengths and capabilities, and you know that you cannot measure up with them; you need to lean on God’s wisdom.

As you press for the wisdom of God, those who looked down on you and talked down on you will soon come to learn at your feet.

Dear friend, today is another day to ask the Lord for wisdom and for him to guide you on how to grow in His wisdom.
