Topic: INTERNAL ENEMIES (Part 1)

Text: “Surely the Lord’s power is enough to save you. He can hear you when you ask him for help. It is your evil that has separated you from your God. Your sins cause him to turn away from you. And then he does not hear you.” – Isaiah 59:1- 2, ICB.

While we all have wonderful desires and goals, it is essential to remember that there are forces that have the potential to oppose our good intentions. Interestingly, more of these are internal forces than external ones. Some habits can get in the way of certain possibilities.

Some forces within a person make certain pleasant and beautiful things happen or prevent them from happening. The children of Israel were hindered from entering the promised land, not by a physical enemy, but by certain internal forces. God had defeated their key external enemy, but there were things inside them that needed to die. There was a mindset they needed to be delivered from if they were to access God’s promise.

Dear friend, there is an attitude that fights against certain possibilities. Until we identify and prevail over them, we may face certain hurdles and hindrances in certain aspects of our lives. We must ask the Lord to open our eyes to whatever works against his will for our lives. We must ask the Lord for wisdom and humility, not to make excuses while continuing with what is working against our lives.

WISDOM PUSH

When there is no opposition within you, the opposition outside cannot stop you.

TODAY’S PRAYER

Lord Jesus, help me to identify anything in my life that is fighting your good desire for my life.
