Today’s Word: Learn From Those Ahead

Bible Reference: Hebrews 6:12 – “That you do not become sluggish, but imitate those who through faith and patience inherit the promises.”

One of the great aspects of being a Christian is that we have those ahead of us who have experiences and testimonies of God’s faithfulness – men and women with remarkable wisdom in their dealings with God.

We are not just supposed to read or hear about them; we must also observe and learn from them. As we study God’s word and as we connect with those older in the faith, our hearts must be open to learning and to growing in wisdom.

According to Hebrews 6:12, we must follow the example of those who fully received what God has promised them through their strong faith and patient endurance. Let us learn from the lives of believers who came before us and those who are ahead of us. This is one way to add speed to your life.

In the name of Jesus, by the help of God’s spirit at work in me, I declare that I have a teachable spirit and my heart is always open to God’s wisdom.
