TOPIC: LIFESTYLE EVANGELISM

Text: “In the same way, you should be a light for other people. Live so that they will see the good things you do. Live so that they will praise your Father in heaven.” – Matthew 5:16, ICB.

 

Every Christian has a responsibility to win others to Jesus. We cannot choose to do this or not; it is a command we must obey. It is a great commission that every Christian must be committed to.

We have been saved to save others. We have been brought into the light so we can take others out of the darkness.

No true and faithful Christian should be uninterested and unbothered about seeing others not being saved. We must be personally committed to bringing people to Jesus.

However, the best form of evangelism is lifestyle evangelism.

We are talking about the kind of life you live and the fruits of your life. You can live a life that inspires others to come to the Lord, a life that makes others see that living in sin is a waste of life and a waste of time.

It’s possible that one of the reasons certain people around us aren’t yet coming to the Lord Jesus is because they see what we do, how we react and respond to issues, how we treat people, and how we talk about people, and they notice that there’s no evidence that God has truly worked on our lives. So, when you try to preach to them, they laugh it off.

Dear friend, the best form of evangelism is lifestyle evangelism.

Don’t just speak like a Christian; live as a Christian. Allow God to work on your life so he can showcase you to others.
