TOPIC: LIVING BY FAITH (Part 3)

Text: “Faith means being sure of the things we hope for. And faith means knowing that something is real even if we do not see it.” – Hebrews 11:1, ICB.

When we talk about living by faith, some are quick to say that it is an unintelligent way to live. They quickly tell you to focus on ‘facts’ and ‘logic’.

To these ones, living by faith seems like ignoring what you can see right before your eyes to believe something that probably doesn’t exist. But this is not true.

The faith of the believer does not deny facts and logic, but it instead focuses on the facts that our spirit is more convinced about.

The Bible tells us in Romans 4:19 that Abraham and Sarah were much past the age of having children. Abraham was aware of this, but he believed in superior facts and that God could make all things possible.

Despite the biological facts and logic, his faith in God did not become weak. Abraham never doubted that God would keep his promise; he never stopped believing, and he grew stronger in his faith daily. Abraham’s focus was on a piece of superior information. His faith was based on a reality he knew was sure.

Dear friend, as we live by faith, we trust in the outcomes of yielding to God’s counsel above our wisdom.

Remember, faith means being sure of what we hope for; it is knowing something is real even if we do not see it with our physical eyes.

TODAY’S TASK:

Is there something you want that appears impossible or impractical? Remind yourself that all things are possible with God.

WISDOM PUSH:

Living by faith means choosing to believe what the unseen God says is best for your life over what the world says.

TODAY’S DECLARATION

In the name of Jesus, I declare over my day that I will not face disappointments or embarrassments.
