Topic: LIVING FOR THE FUTURE (Part 1)
Text: “So teach us to number our days, that we may cultivate and bring to you a heart of wisdom.” – Psalms 90:12, AMP.

We are created by God to serve others. People around us need our light, and our lives will have an effect on people who come after us.

Remember that God told Abraham something very important, which shows what he expects of us. He told Abraham, “Every nation on earth will be blessed through you.” (Genesis 22:18). His life would positively affect others. God wanted Abraham to know that he wasn’t living his life only for himself and that his life would bless many others.

Dear friends, every choice we make, every action we take, and every decision we don’t take will affect someone else directly or indirectly.

One way we can set an excellent example for those who come after us is to fight the good fight of faith and not be casual or careless in our walk with the Lord Jesus. 

We should live our lives in such a way that we can confidently tell others to continue in what they have observed and learned from us.

Determine to live a life that will be a legacy for others coming behind you.

In the name of Jesus, Lord, I thank you for the privilege of knowing you. I declare that I will live as a light to those around me and those coming after me.
