Topic: LIVING FOR THE FUTURE (Part 3)

Text: “A good name [earned by honourable behaviour, godly wisdom, moral courage and personal integrity] is more desirable than great riches; and favour is better than silver and gold.” – Proverbs 22:1, AMP.

We must be mindful of the kind of name we have before others. It’s not that we have to live to impress them, but the fruits we bear create a name and identity for us.

When people think of us, they should think of positive things. When our name is mentioned, it should be for something inspiring, godly, and impactful. Contrary to popular belief, our good name is more valuable than material wealth. (Proverbs 22:1).

Dear friends, there are several priceless advantages to having a good name. People will trust you if you have a good name. Thanks to your good name, people don’t have to question your decisions because they know you have good intentions.

Also, a good name never dies. Riches can fade away; not a good name. With a good name, long after you are gone from a place or from this world, people remember you for good.

One way to live for the future is to keep a good name.
