Topic: LOOK AND LIVE (Part 8)

Text: “Brothers, continue to think about the things that are good and worthy of praise. Think about the things that are true and honourable and right and pure and beautiful and respected.” – Philippians 4:8, ICB.

When things aren’t going well, focusing on the negative is easy. God is aware of this and has counselled us to avoid depressing and negative thoughts that will only worsen matters.

A key strategy of the enemy is to sell lies to us, and when we start believing in his lies, it begins to affect us negatively, leading to loss of hope, anger, frustration, depression, and so much more.

However, according to today’s bible text, we are instructed to intentionally feed our minds on the right things. We are to dwell on what is pure, noble, and just for it to guide our actions.

We can stay focused on God’s love and provision for us if we feed our minds on the right things. We can do this by rejecting the lies of the enemy and constantly reminding ourselves of God’s love.

Regardless of how bleak the situation appeared, thinking the right thoughts will lead us to victory.
