TOPIC: LOOKING UNTO GOD FOR ANSWERS (Part 1)

Text: “For this reason I am telling you, whatever things you ask for in prayer [in accordance with God’s will], believe [with confident trust] that you have received them, and they will be given to you.” – Mark 11:24, AMP.

One of the remarkable things we observe as we study the life of Jesus is that there was always a confidence with which he approached God and situations every time. This is how the Father wants to live. We must not see prayer as a burden, but when we pray, we must believe God for answers, and it will be done. We must also recognize that every expectation must require a corresponding behaviour, an attitude, and some practices. A student who wants to be an A’ student has an expectation that will demand a behaviour. Every desire must be met with obligations to become a reality.

Likewise, for everyone who has an expectation from the Lord, there is behaviour you must put up. As someone who believes that God will do something great in their lives, there are spiritual disciplines that you must submit to. Amongst many others, you must stop confessing hopelessness, start declaring the Word, keep rejoicing in the faithfulness of God towards you and never allow challenges to sow the seed of doubt in God’s power in your heart. As we look unto God for answers and divine intervention, our attitude must also reflect that we believe him wholeheartedly. We must behave like what we believe.
