Topic: Mind Power (Part 3)

Text: “Do not be shaped by this world. Instead, be changed within by a new way of thinking…” -Romans 12:2, ICB.

 

There is a worldly way of thinking and suggestions made by society that may appear appropriate but are not justifiable to those who believe in Christ.

As people who have been saved to live a higher life, we must consciously feed our minds with the word of God daily and discipline ourselves to meditate on it until it begins to influence our everyday thoughts and our way of life.

Our thoughts shape our lives, and our thoughts are shaped by the knowledge we are exposed to every day. 

Let’s learn from King Solomon’s life; no matter how sensible and knowledgeable we think we may be, we must keep spending intentional time in the presence of God to shape our thinking.

As we spend time with the Lord daily, we go from strength to strength and from glory to glory, and the Holy Spirit strengthens our minds.

Reflect on this question: Who or what has influenced your life’s goals, dreams, and ambitions? Is it God or society?

Wisdom Push:

It is foolish to ask God to bless plans that He has not instructed or permitted. In everything, seek God’s approval, and you will have his backing.

In the name of Jesus, I declare that I am better today than yesterday. I declare that I am growing and increasing in Jesus’ name.
