TOPIC: NEGATIVE SOURCES

One of the best things that can happen to you is to be able to identify what is healthy and unhealthy for your soul. To live a happy, progressive, and fulfilling life that honors the Lord, you must be able to distinguish between wrong and right sources. The wrong source will feed you the wrong information, wrong perspectives and will do you no good. The right source will add value to your life and your walk with the Lord.

To a large extent, what we hear, those we hear, what we see, and the things we expose ourselves to affect our emotions, decisions, directions, desires, and choices. They could be friends, family members, or even social media pages. You need to identify what is negatively affecting and influencing your life. These are negative sources.

Someone may ask, how can I disconnect from ‘negative’ family members and friends? When you notice the negativity, ungodliness and perverseness that keep proceeding from them, there are things you must stop discussing with them. There are conversations you must walk away from and discipline yourself to stop giving such people access to your heart.

If you are sincere about maintaining a healthy soul and spirit, there are things and people you must disconnect from. Be sensitive to identify what is not feeding your relationship with God and what is not helping your purpose and the direction you are headed towards.

Stay away from negative, unedifying, and demoralising sources.
