TOPIC: ONLY JESUS (Part 3)

Text: “You, Lord, give true peace. You give peace to those who depend on you. You give peace to those who trust you.” -Isaiah 26:3, ICB. 

As we study God’s word, we will notice that Jesus Christ was extremely clear about what he gives. His promises are explicit. God’s word is full of God’s promises. Many people doubt them because they are so simple and devoid of complications or conditions that some consider them absurd.

One of God’s sure promises, among others, is peace, as we saw in yesterday’s devotional. God knows that peace is one of man’s most basic needs, and he assures us that we will find peace in him.

Dear friends, with Jesus Christ as Lord of your heart, you have His peace. You must ensure nothing else takes over God’s place in your heart. Ensure you do not place anything else above the Lord. Maintain a life of worship and praise to God, regardless of season or circumstance. With this, you will continue to enjoy God’s peace.

The peace that God gives rejoices even in the fiercest storms and most difficult seasons. Peace always sees ahead. His peace always makes us see his hand. Only Jesus can give true peace.
