Topic: ONLY JESUS (Part 8)

Text: “Sin will not be your master, because you are not under law but under God’s grace.” – Romans 6:14, ICB.

The greatest problem of humanity was the sin problem. Man was a slave to sin and was far from God. God had to intervene and had to reconcile man back to himself. He did this by giving those who believe in the Lord Jesus the power over sin.

While we will always face temptations and sin in this life, through Christ, we have power over sin. Through Christ, we cannot be slaves to sin. Through Christ, we can manifest dominion over sin. As we abide in Christ, we will be able to manifest this power over sin.

There is such an incredible power and authority that we come into when we release ourselves to God. 

Here is the interesting fact: true freedom from sin comes only through slavery to Christ.

As we surrender to God, we will be able to resist the devil and his works. Only as we submit to God’s wisdom will we experience the joy, peace, and glory of true freedom. Only Jesus can give us true freedom.

As long as we are in this world, we are not free of sin but free from the power of sin.

In the name of Jesus, I quit from trying to please God with my works, but I consciously place my trust in God and in his power that is at work within me.
