Topic: OPEN TO GROWTH (Part 1)

Text: “The Lord our God spoke to us at Horeb, saying ‘You have stayed long enough on this mountain.” – Deuteronomy 1:6, AMP.

God is interested in and committed to our growth and progress. He wants us to advance in his will. He wants to see his plans flourish in our lives. The Father wants our lives to be a reflection of His glory. As a loving father, he desires to see us advance according to his will for our lives.

In today’s bible text, we see how God ministered to his children, saying they have been on the same level for too long.

We may often not get some dramatic or spectacular ministration from the Lord, telling us it is time to grow. Still, he would speak through circumstances, rejections, disappointments, and many other things. We must be discerning that God is calling for growth.

If Joseph was not discerning, he would assume being thrown out of Potiphar’s house was a setback, but God was pulling him closer to his destiny. This is the same for many of us; things that look like setbacks on the surface are actually God pulling us closer to something bigger and better.

God loves to see us grow in all areas of our lives. This is why we must rightly discern the seasons and situations in our lives and know what God is communicating through each of them.

TODAY’S TASK

Identify areas of your life where there have not been positive changes in results and ask the Lord for direction.
