TOPIC: OUT OF THE CLOSET (Part 2)

Text: “This man came to Jesus by night and said to Him, “Rabbi, we know that You are a teacher come from God; for no one can do these signs that you do unless God is with him.” – John 3:2, NKJV.

One interesting fact we see in scripture is that there were several people who believed in Jesus’ message, but because they were afraid of what they would lose if they publicly identified with Jesus, they chose to remain “secret disciples.” One of them was Nicodemus. According to Scripture, he came to Jesus at night. 

Many so-called believers today only remember God at night when challenges arise, and they appear to have nowhere else to turn. This is when they remember that “only Jesus can save”. 

Dear friend, God is not looking for secret disciples or secret admirers.

Now is the time for those who are indeed His to proudly identify as His children and shout about it. 

We must not be concerned about losing relationships or favours because others know we identify with Jesus.

If we have to give up anything because we identify with Jesus, that loss will be a blessing in disguise.

TODAY’S TASK:

Pray against any habit or lifestyle that could bring public shame.

WISDOM PUSH:

God is not looking for secret disciples or secret admirers.

In the name of Jesus, today, I receive grace to do what others find hard to do.
