TOPIC: OUT OF THE CLOSET (Part 5)

Text: “And when a person knows the right thing to do but does not do it, then he is sinning.” – James 4:17, ICB.

 

There is something I believe many Christians are not aware of. It is the fact that talking to people about Jesus Christ is not an option, and it is not a suggestion. It is a command. We don’t have a choice, and it is not subject to how we feel about it.

We have a direct command from the Lord to tell others about Him.

Some Christians have unbelieving friends and colleagues, and they avoid conversations that might spark interest in their faith. Yes, you cannot ‘force’ your faith on others; however, you cannot remain silent or secretive about your faith. Everything about you should reflect that Jesus owns your heart. 

We must be inspired by Peter, Paul, Silas, and other early believers who, despite being tortured, beaten, and imprisoned, refused to remain silent about their faith and the gospel. They understood they had a command to fulfil.

Many Christians today have never led anyone to Christ. You cannot claim to be a faithful follower of Jesus, and no one has come to Jesus through you.

It is a sin not to talk about Jesus. God’s word tells us in James 4:17, “When a person knows the right thing but does not do it, then he is sinning.”

Dear friend, come out of the closet and proudly tell others about Jesus.

Set a goal for how many souls you can win for Jesus in the next five days.

It is a sin not to talk about Jesus to others.
