Today’s Word: OVERCOMING NEGATIVE INFLUENCES (Part 10)

Today’s Bible Reference: 2 Corinthians 6:17-18 (ICB) – “Leave those people, and make yourselves pure,” says the Lord. Touch nothing that is unclean, and I will accept you. I will be your father, and you will be my sons and daughters, says the Lord All-Powerful.”

As we study the scriptures, we discover that the inspiring life of Joseph teaches us to refuse evil and honour God no matter the pressure. We observe that Joseph understood the power of choice, even when surrounded by wrongdoers. He refused to become wicked or ungodly just to get ahead.

The popular philosophy of the world that says, “If you can’t beat them, join them,” is not of God.

As Christians, we are called to stand apart, even when facing pressure to conform.

If you cannot beat them, leave them. If you cannot win them over, move away. If you cannot join them, live a life worthy of emulation.

Dear friend, do not let worldly philosophies dictate your actions. God’s Word should guide our every step (Matthew 4:4). Stand firm, for God will always stand with you.
