Today’s Word: OVERCOMING NEGATIVE INFLUENCES (Part 9)

Today’s Bible Reference: Ephesians 5:1 (AMPC)—“Therefore, be imitators of God [copy Him and follow His example] as well-beloved children [imitate their Father].”

Scripture tells us that there is a way that seems right to man but ends in destruction (Proverbs 14:12). It’s not enough to acquire wealth or popularity; we must live in the fear of God.

Our pursuits as believers must be distinct from those of unbelievers. We value our relationship with the Lord above all else (Luke 12:15). We must not seek after things by any means but be guided by God’s wisdom in all our endeavours.

Whatever we obtain or however high we rise, if the process dishonours God, it cannot be called a blessing.

Let God’s wisdom guide you in every pursuit. Don’t admire those whose lives dishonour and mock the fear of God. 

Dear friend, the fear of the Lord will preserve your days. The fear of the Lord will keep you from shame. Uphold the fear of the Lord, and do not be ashamed to declare your stand in God.
