Topic: PEACE LIKE A RIVER (Part 4)

Text: “But the spirit gives love, joy, peace, patience, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control.”- Galatians 5: 22, ICB.

The scripture tells us in Proverbs 16:7 that when a man’s ways please the Lord, he makes even his enemies to be at peace with him.

God guides us to victory against any adversary, but we must learn and gain the wisdom to be at peace with all men.

Peace with one another is so important to God that the Bible says in Matthew 5: 23-24 that when you bring a gift to God’s altar, and you remember that your brother has something against you, leave your gift there at the altar, go and make peace with him, then come and offer your gift.

The Bible instructs us in Hebrews 12:14 to strive towards peace with all men, as much as is within our power.

A person led by the spirit of God does not cause division, strife, or tell lies or gossip to separate friends. Instead, they bring unity and encourage deep and genuine friendships in the body of Christ.

This is what God expects of us and it is possible as we yield to God’s spirit.

In the name of Jesus, receive God’s peace today.
