TOPIC: SPIRIT PRODUCTION (Part 1)

Text: “So I tell you: Live by following the Spirit. Then you will not do what your sinful selves want. -Galatians 5:16, ICB.

Everyone has a spirit. The human consciousness is made up of spirit, soul and body. When we submit to Christ, our spirit man comes alive and we receive the spirit of God within us.

The spirit of God within us guides us into pleasing God and helps transform our character. Transformation from within is the greatest proof of the holy spirit in us, not miracles, testimonies or speaking in tongues.

If we claim to be born again or have received Christ, there must be a change in how we speak and behave. It may not be perfect overnight, but we are to gradually become more like Jesus.

What are the changes to your character since you received Jesus into your life? In what way are you applying the Word of God to your life? Are you a believer because of what God can do for you, or are you paying attention to what God is doing in you?

Today’s Task:

Spend time to read Galatians 5:16-18. What does it mean to you?

Wisdom Push:

Don’t focus only on God changing your situation; focus more on God changing you.

Everywhere I go and in everything I do, I show the character of Jesus more and more each day.
