TOPIC: STAY ON COURSE (PART 14)
Text: “If you plan and work hard, you will have plenty…” – Proverbs 21:5, CEV.
Everything we desire is possible. However, achieving and successfully sustaining anything requires hard work. A lot of hard work is hidden behind the awesome things we see around us.
God’s word assures us in Proverbs 21:5 that “good planning and hard work leads to prosperity, but hasty shortcuts lead to poverty.”
Wanting to succeed without working is like expecting to harvest where you have not planted. Excellence, relevance, quality delivery, and much more are all founded upon hard work.
Abraham Lincoln, the 16th President of the United States, once said, “Things may come to those who wait, but only the things left by those who work hard.”
The higher our expectations, the greater the amount of needed work. And, the greater the effort, the greater the glory. You will never regret putting in your best.
Whatever our dreams or vision, we must be faithful and consistent in putting in the work. If you are patient enough, your hard work will undoubtedly pay off. Indeed, everything we desire is possible.
