TOPIC: STAY ON COURSE (PART 6)

Text: “I press on toward the goal to win the heavenly prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.” – Philippians 4:13, AMP.

 

There is so much we can learn from the statement of Apostle Paul when he said, “I press towards the mark…” It expresses tenacity, relentlessness and determination. He would not let his past experiences, good or bad, stop him from reaching for more.

One factor that prevents people from becoming truly exceptional is when they become comfortable with their achievements and make them a monument.

Yes, you did something great, and everyone around you hasn’t done this much before, but you must not settle. You must always have goals in front of you.

Some people could have become so much more, but they stopped pushing their limits when they reached certain targets. If you desire to stand out, you must understand that comfort is your worst enemy. 

You’ve got to stay on course. You’ve got to stay hungry. This is a crucial principle with successful people; they are never satisfied for a good reason. 

Dear friend, here is my counsel: don’t give up too quickly and don’t settle too soon. Celebrate every win, learn from every failure, but keep pushing to be more. This is God’s will for you.
