Today’s Word: STAY ON TRACK: Winning Over Distractions (Part 3)

Bible Reference: Hebrews 6:12, TPT—“Follow the example of those who fully received what God has promised because of their strong faith and patient endurance.”

 

As we carefully study the scriptures of the patriarchs who came before us, we will learn invaluable wisdom for living. One remarkable principle that shaped their greatness was their testimonies against distractions; they prevailed against every form of distraction.

Our Lord Jesus prevailed against distraction (Matthew 4). Joseph prevailed against distraction. Apostle Paul had a testimony of victory over distraction. Daniel had victory over distraction. Their ability to overcome distractions contributed to their greatness and inspiring lives.

On the contrary, we have accounts of individuals who never reached their full potential because they fell victim to distractions. Gehazi, Judas, and Samson were all casualties of distractions. Let’s learn carefully from these two categories of people.

I am praying for you; you will not fail in life. I pray that you will daily submit to God’s wisdom.
