Today’s Word: SUBMITTING TO GOD: THE KEY TO DEVELOPING A GODLY CHARACTER (Part 6)

Today’s Bible Reference: Colossians 1:10 (“ICB)—“Then you will live the kind of life that honours and pleases the Lord in every way. You will produce fruit in every good work and grow in the knowledge of God.” 

 

One of the stories in the scripture worth reflecting on and learning from is the story of Samson.

Samson’s story is a sobering reminder that a great destiny can be limited and derailed by a lack of sound character and discipline. Despite what we would call the anointing on his life, his inability to discipline himself led to his downfall.

Weak character can be more destructive than external enemies. Daily, we must consciously allow the Holy Spirit to refine us and enable us to produce fruits that testify to our transformation in Christ.

Dear friend, your true character is revealed in how you handle opportunities, pressure, power, and responsibility. However, the more we yield to the influence of the Holy Spirit, the more we manifest the wisdom of God in all things.

I am praying for you. May God give you victory over every secret battle in Jesus’ name.

Lord, I declare that I will not fall into any trap today. I walk in wisdom and integrity.
