TOPIC: SUSTAINED BY FAITH
Text: “Without faith, no one can please God. Anyone who comes to God must believe that he is real and that he rewards those who truly want to find him.” -Hebrews 11:6, ICB.
As we study the fathers of faith in scripture, we discover a consistent trait: they believed that nothing is impossible with God. Scripture tells us in Hebrews 11:6 that it is impossible to walk with God without faith. Faith in God is confidence in God.
We see this testimony in Abraham’s life. By faith, Abraham obeyed God and followed God even when he did not know where he was going. Our confidence in God is important to our walk with Him. We must be guided and sustained by our faith in God.
We must stay strong in the knowledge of God and believe whatever he says, even when we cannot figure out how it will come to pass. We must be fully convinced that God can and will do what He has promised. This is the kind of life God calls us to live, one that is guided, strengthened and sustained by faith in God.
WISDOM PUSH
Our faith in God is what confirms our true knowledge of God.
