TOPIC: THE ALMIGHTY GOD (PART 13)

Text: “But when I am afraid, I will put my trust in you.” – Psalms 56:3, NLT.

God wants us to trust him because we have every reason to. However, we must recognize that trusting God is more than a feeling; it is a deliberate decision to believe what He says, even if your feelings or circumstances want you to think otherwise.

Trusting God does not mean dismissing your feelings or reality. But it is living a life of faith and obedience to God, even when it is tough.

If you trust someone, you will be honest and comfortable telling them anything. We can show our trust in God by communicating to him about our feelings, and we share our feelings with our Father through prayer. As we pray, we convey how we feel and our faith that He is with us.

God is completely trustworthy, yet He wants you to develop trust in Him as you get to know Him. You can get to know God by spending time with Him and engaging His Word.

Here is God’s word to you today; “I will never leave or forsake you. I love you unconditionally and will always come through for you.”

TODAY’S TASK:

Take some time to meditate on 1 John 5:4.
