TOPIC: THE ALMIGHTY GOD (PART 4)

Text: “He counts the number of the stars; He calls them all by their names.” — Psalms‬ 147‬:4‬ AMP‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬

Life can be very unpredictable; what seems fantastic today may be quite different the next day. Despite life’s uncertainty, one thing remains constant and guaranteed: our God can be trusted.

To trust means to believe in something’s dependability, truth, capacity, or strength. So, trusting God is believing in His credibility, His Word, His capacity, and His authority. The Almighty God assures us in His word that He always keeps His promises, that He loves us, and that He has good plans for us. (Isaiah 55:11, Isaiah 40:8)

So, trusting in Him means believing what He says about Himself, what he says in His word and what He says about you is true. Right from the beginning with Adam and Eve, the problem man has always had is trusting God; they doubted God and did what they thought best, and it ended in reproach.

It is not enough to believe or feel that you trust God. You must practise it every day. Whatever happens on a daily basis, we can either panic and try to fix things on our own, or we can develop the muscle of trust by pausing, praying, and seeking guidance from the Lord.

It pays to trust God; no one has ever trusted God and ended up in shame. (Psalms 25:3).

TODAY’S TASK:

What three lessons can you learn from the way Abraham walked with God?

WISDOM PUSH:

It is not enough to believe or feel that you trust God. You must practise it every day.

TODAY’S DECLARATION

In the name of Jesus, Lord, I trust that you are in charge of my life. I refuse to be moved when things don’t seem to go how I wish. I know you are in charge.
