TOPIC: THE ALMIGHTY GOD (PART 5)

Text: “God is not a man. He will not lie. God is not a human being. He does not change his mind. What he says he will do, he does. What he promises, he keeps.” – Numbers‬ 23‬:19‬ ICB‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬

To be considered faithful, you must be true to your word. This characteristic perfectly describes our God. When we say God is faithful, we mean that he can be trusted to do what he promises. (Psalms 145:13).

Faithfulness is an important attribute of God and serves as the foundation for our faith in him. A songwriter penned this testimony of our God: “You alone art worthy Lord, to be praised and adored. You’ve been faithful, Lord, through the ages; Lord, that is why your name is forever praised.”

So, a vital testimony of the almighty God is that he is faithful.

Being faithful is part of who he is, so his faithfulness does not depend on how faithful we are. He is faithful by nature.

Unlike our friends and colleagues who may fail to keep their word and leave us disappointed, there is one who will never fail to keep his word. We can always trust him to fulfil his promises. He is the Almighty God. His word never returns void; it always accomplishes his purpose (Isaiah 55:11). 

Dear friend, even when things look bad, you can trust the Lord. Unlike people, who might want to keep their word but are prevented by unforeseen circumstances, our God has complete authority over all things and will do everything he says. Nothing and no one will stop his thoughts and plans. (Job 42:2).

Find three promises made by the Lord to his children in the scriptures.
