Topic: THE BLESSING OF A CHURCH FAMILY (Part 1)

Text: “The believers met together in the temple every day. They all had the same purpose. They broke bread in their homes, happy to share their food with joyful hearts.” – Acts 2:46, ICB.

Everything God created or inspired is a blessing and meant to enhance our lives. The gathering of believers modelled by the early church is a God-idea. The Lord says in Matthew 18:20 that he is there where two or three are gathered together in his name.

As we become born again, we become members of God’s family. As members of God’s family, we are to belong to a local assembly where we are discipled, serve and grow in the things of God. Being a faithful member of a Jesus-centred church community is a blessing.

Today, people are constantly attempting to modify certain spiritual truths to suit their beliefs and convenience, and they will go to any length to minimise the importance of being actively involved in a church family.

Among many other advantages, belonging to a church family allows us to be loved in a way that differs from how love is given and perceived in a secular society. In our church family, we experience the blessings and benefits of being shown and offering unconditional love to others, just as Jesus modelled for us.

So, the blessings are limitless when you belong to a church family and ensure you are a faithful member of that community.

I encourage you to be a part of a church family and to set a good example of commitment and faithfulness.
