TOPIC: THE BLESSING OF FOCUS (Part 1)

BIBLE TEXT: “Only be strong and very courageous; be careful to do [everything] in accordance with the entire law which Moses My servant commanded you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, so that you may prosper and be successful wherever you go.” — Joshua 1:7, AMPLIFIED

It is important to note that greatness is not simply the result of goodwill or religious activities. Greatness is not only the result of a divine occurrence or a random act of kindness shown to you by someone. Discipline is essential to greatness. Know that discipline is a big part of becoming great and excellent at anything you do. You are not prepared for the greatness that God has promised unless your devotion to the word of God and commitment to prayer improve your character and sense of discipline in everything you do.

One of the primary goals of submitting to God’s word and prayer is to experience the practical transformations that it brings to our minds, reflecting on our character and outlook on life.

Giving our undivided attention to God’s word and prayer will produce discipline in our lives, and one expression of discipline is focus. Focus is a major secret of high achievers. Hard work is good, having exceptional skills is great, and having good business ideas is great, but focus is a major virtue that will make you a high achiever. Through focus, there is nothing you cannot achieve.

WISDOM PUSH

  1. Without focus, you may never achieve greatness or significance in anything you do.
  2. Your sense of discipline and order demonstrates that you are prepared for what God has promised you.
