TOPIC: THE BLESSING OF FOCUS (Part 2)

BIBLE TEXT: “Only be strong and very courageous; be careful to do [everything] in accordance with the entire law which Moses My servant commanded you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, so that you may prosper and be successful wherever you go.” – Joshua 1:7, AMPLIFIED

In Proverbs 6:6-8, the Bible advises us to study the ants. It reminds us that, despite their small size, they can accomplish great things. The Bible reminds us that ants have no leaders or commanders to force them to work, yet they work hard in the summer to gather food for the winter. The ant is a symbol of hard work and focus.

Anyone who truly wants to succeed in life must cultivate the discipline of focus. Focus is essential for making meaningful and desirable progress. Focus is necessary if you do not want to waste your time and other resources.

No mountain that cannot be climbed, no goal that cannot be achieved, and no established limit that cannot be overcome when we develop the discipline of focus. It’s also worth noting that one of the ways we identify and maximise God’s grace is through the discipline of focus.

By His kindness, the Lord may have provided the help we require in certain areas, but when we lack focus, we may be doing things that contradict the help provided by the Lord. Therefore, focus is a must if you want to make good progress.

WISDOM PUSH:

  1. Recognise that one of the primary benefits of God’s presence is that it gives you focus for living.
  2. Focus is necessary for a fulfilling life; you will accomplish much more if you practice focus.
  3. If pursued with focus, anything small can grow into something great.

TODAY’S PRAYER:

In the of Jesus, I receive grace to live disciplined and focused on all my pursuits.
