Topic: THE COMMANDED ATMOSPHERE (Part 6)

Text: “Worship the Lord with gladness; come before him with joyful songs.” – Psalms 100:2, NIV

One of the amazing benefits of anointed worship and praise is that it awakens a consciousness of God’s presence in us. This is why we must develop the discipline of worshipping and praising God in the face of challenges.

As we worship God, we invite and create a glorious atmosphere. This atmosphere becomes what opens our spiritual eyes and minds to see what God is saying and heals us of wrong focus.

The Bible reminds us in Acts 16:24-26 how Paul and Silas were thrown into prison, and their feet were bound and chained. These men refused to be downcast; instead, they praised and prayed and the presence of God took over the prison, such that a great earthquake shook the prison’s foundations and all at once, every prison door flung open and the chains of all the prisoners came loose.

These incredible manifestations of God’s power and presence happened because Paul and Silas chose to take charge of their atmosphere through worship, praise and prayers. Let’s learn from this.

Develop and sustain the habit of worshipping God, no matter the circumstance. As you do, you are taking charge of the atmosphere for God’s glory to be made manifest.

Today’s task:

Take a moment, away from everyone, to worship and praise the Lord Almighty.

Wisdom Push:

Every time we worship and praise the Lord, we invite and create a glorious atmosphere.

Today’s declaration:

In the name of Jesus, I rebuke every thought that seeks to make me doubt the power of God.
