Today’s Word: The Cost of Compromise

Today’s Bible Reference: Romans 15:4, ERV — “Everything that was written in the past was written to teach us…”

One of the stories in scripture worth reflecting on and learning from is that of Samson.

Samson’s story is a sobering reminder that a great destiny can be limited and derailed by a lack of sound character and discipline. Despite what we would call the anointing on his life, his inability to discipline himself led to his downfall.

Weak character can be more destructive than external enemies. Daily, we must consciously allow the Holy Spirit to refine us and enable us to produce fruit that testifies to our transformation in Christ.

Dear friend, your true character is revealed in how you handle opportunities, pressure, power, and responsibility. However, the more we yield to the influence of the Holy Spirit, the more we manifest the wisdom of God in all things.

I am praying for you. May God give you victory over every secret battle in Jesus’ name.

Today’s Prophetic Declaration
Lord, I declare that I prevail over every trap of the enemy. I am led by God’s wisdom all through today.
