Topic: THE DISCIPLINE OF PRAYER

Bible text: “Never stop praying.” – 1 Thessalonians 5:17, ICB.

God promised us in his Word that he hears every Word that we pray to him (Jeremiah 33:3). Prayer to God is a crucial advantage of the born-again child of God. It is our platform for strength, renewed hope, encouragement and power. We must see prayer as a way of life, not just something we resort to in crises or emergencies. As we make prayer a habit, when the need arises, we will be in practice. Prayer must not be your spare tyre but your steering wheel. Your confidence in life must flow from your prayer life.

Also, as we give ourselves to prayer, we must develop the discipline of hearing from God. This is not a hard task. The Almighty God is your father; He wants to speak to you. But the voice of God and how he communicates to you become sharper and clearer when you commit yourself to spend time with him. Therefore, make prayer a crucial part of your daily life and let it become an incurable habit.
