Topic: THE FEAR OF GOD

Text: “Who is the man that fears the Lord? Him shall he teach in the way He chooses.” – Psalms 25:12, NKJV.

 

The fear of God is essential to live a dignified and fulfilling life. The fear of God is respect and reverence for God. It is living a life guided and governed by the wisdom of God. This is living life in such a way that you want to honour God in everything you do. You care about God’s will and desire more than anything else. Walking in the fear of God is proof of wisdom. (Proverbs 9:10).

Scripture tells us that only God knows the true secrets of life and that there are pleasures forever in his presence. (Psalms 16:11). But the secret of God is accessible to those who live in the fear of God. The person who fears God is a friend of God. The friendship of God is not just for churchgoers; it is for God-lovers. This is the person who never lives carelessly, but he considers God in all things. This person cares about God’s approval in all they do.

Dear friend, God is calling us to a higher walk with him. He wants to indeed be Lord over our lives, guiding and leading us in all things. We will never lose out as we allow the fear of God to govern our lives.

Any person who truly lives to honour God must have access to the secrets of God.
