TOPIC: THE FRUITS OF FAITH (Part 1)

TEXT: “Jesus answered, “If anyone loves me, then he will obey my teaching…” – John 14:23, ICB

We are identified as believers because we have faith in God. The beginning point for demonstrating our faith was at salvation. We are saved by grace through faith in Christ. (Ephesians 2:8-9). 

Salvation is received by faith in the Lord Jesus. However, the demonstration of faith does not stop at salvation; we must keep living by faith in God. Everything we do and say must reflect our faith in God.

Following God is not real if you excuse faith from it. In fact, God’s word tells us we are to live by faith (Habakkuk 2:4). We must live our lives trusting in the Lord Jesus, who paid the ultimate price to save us and reconcile us with God.

However, faith and obedience must go together. We demonstrate our faith in God through faithful obedience to God’s words and commands.

The actual test of our love and faith in the Lord is revealed daily in our commitment to His word. (John 14:23).
