Today’s Word: THE GLORY OF SPIRITUAL MATURITY (Part 2)

Today’s Bible Reference: 1 Peter 2:2 ICB – “As newborn babies want milk, you should want the pure milk, you should want the pure and simple teaching. By it, you can mature in your salvation.”

The extent to which we yield to God reflects our spiritual maturity. Our ‘surrenderedness’  to God is measured by how well our flesh is dying daily and yielded to the influence and authority of God’s Spirit. 

Our spiritual maturity is measured by how much our heart has become captured by the things of God, how much we delight in God, where His joy and pleasure have become the same as ours.

Spiritual maturity in a believer’s life is about how well the character of Christ is moulded in us. As we submit ourselves to the influence of God’s Spirit, we will begin and continue to manifest the character of Christ. 

We must learn to ‘let go’ and release ourselves to the Holy Spirit to do the work in us. We do not have to strive or struggle but allow him to lead and guide us into everything He has for us.

Today’s Prophetic Declaration:

In the name of Jesus, I declare that my life brings glory and honour to God every day.
