Topic: THE HAND OF HELP (Part 12)

Text: “What you say can mean life or death. Those who love to talk will be rewarded for what they say.” – Proverbs 18:21, ICB.

The words we speak to people are powerful; they can heal, hurt, revive, or kill. Our words can build people up, encourage, and inspire, or they can also deflate and discourage.

We must be intentional about speaking the right words that build and encourage. There are people in our lives who would do and become better as we speak the right words to them.

Sometimes, a word of encouragement is the best seed for people to grow and improve. This is why we must not deprive those around us of encouragement and life-giving words.

As we focus on the power of our words, we must equally understand that it is not every thought that needs to be said or voiced out. Examine your words before you say them.

The prayer in Psalm 141:3 is laced with profound wisdom. It says, “Lord, help me control my tongue. Help me be careful about what I say.”

We must be positively intentional with our words. Sometimes, saying nothing is better than saying what may destroy a relationship beyond redemption.

Through our words, we should minister hope, encouragement, and strength to everyone who hears us.

TODAY’S TASK

Examine your life; is there someone whose growth you are committed to? If yes, continue. If not, find someone.

WISDOM PUSH

To love people is to see them the same way God sees them.

TODAY’S DECLARATION

In the name of Jesus, I declare that the Lord is using me to manifest his glory and express His love in my generation.
