Topic: THE HAND OF HELP (Part 7)
Text: “And never let ugly or hateful words come from your mouth, but instead let your words become beautiful gifts that encourage others; do this by speaking words of grace to help them.” – Ephesians 4:29, TPT.
It is common to meet people who like speaking ill of others, including those they have benefitted from. How we talk about others reflects the strength or weakness of our character.
Wise people do not speak negatively about others or deliberately attempt to undermine anyone’s image before others.
People nowadays are being negatively perceived by people who have never met or been drawn to them simply because someone who was once close to them chose to spread a false narrative about them.
Dear friend, when you go out of your way to speak badly of or slander someone, you are denying your faith and demonstrating that God’s love is not in your heart.
Don’t lie or make up a false story about anyone; instead, express the truth in love, talk favourably of others, and be excited about amplifying the good in others.
Decide to speak positively about others, even if you know their issues and struggles. Let your remarks regarding people reflect the prayer you have for them.
One way we extend a hand of love and help to others is to speak positively about them, especially in areas where they need help and growth. Our words must mirror our prayer for them.
