Topic: THE HAND OF HELP (Part 8)

Text: “Your lives light up the world. For how can you hide a city that stands on a hilltop?” – Matthew 5:14, TPT.

 

God’s word tells us in Matthew 5:14 that we are the light of the world. This is true for every born-again child of God, regardless of age, gender or when they gave their lives to Christ.

This statement in Matthew 5:14 is more than a blessing; it is a responsibility. It reflects the righteous expectation of every believer. We are lights. We are to be agents of help, not destruction.

We should build people and not destroy them. We should support dreams and not destroy them. We should inspire hope in others and not kill hope.

We should nurture people to new heights and dimensions and not reason for their pains and sorrows. We are called lights, and we bear a righteous burden as Christians.

As we live among wolves, remember that we were sent as sheep. (Matthew 10:16). We must not lose our identity because of where we are. We are called to be agents of healing, not agents of hurt. We are meant to be agents of progress, not backwardness.

Dear friend, let us live daily with the understanding of the kingdom responsibilities that rest on our shoulders.

Are there people who are hurting around you? Are there people who believe those they looked up to have let them down? Reach out to them and strengthen up. Build their faith again.
