Topic: THE HOLY SPIRIT AND YOU  (Part 2)

Text: “There appeared to them tongues resembling fire, which were being distributed [among them], and they rested on each one of them [as each person received the Holy Spirit]. “- Acts 2:3, AMP.

The Holy Spirit is not a wind, a sound or fire. He is not a feeling, a stirring of the atmosphere or whatever he has been misunderstood to be in these times. The Holy Spirit is a person; he is God, dwelling among men and manifesting his presence and power to save and deliver.

According to Acts 2, in the upper room, the Holy Spirit came on each disciple in the form of fire to manifest to them physically that they had been empowered to carry out the great commission.

The manifestation of what looked like fire symbolised supernatural power and let God’s people know that they were unstoppable.

We should never mistake or limit the physical manifestations as the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit can choose to manifest however he wants, but he remains the Spirit of God.

Today’s Task:

Take some time to reflect on Ephesians 1:17-18.
